Our story is simple...
In 2004, I met a woman named Lynn...
Lynn and I have never met in person, yet we've become good friends over the past decade. She lives in the U.K. and I live in the U.S. We came into contact because I was researching the benefits of raw African shea butter on skin conditions. Lynn lives with scleroderma, an autoimmune disease characterized by a hardening of the skin. The disease can also affect the internal organs. Learn more about scleroderma by clicking here.
Meeting Lynn prompted me to begin creating products that did not contain harsh chemicals or chemical fillers. These products included raw shea butter formulations, gentle and natural soaps, and gentle and natural skin conditoners.
In the last thirteen years, our seasonal skin products have changed, and we offer what we feel are products that work best for our customers based on your feedback. You, the customers, have created this store. We have also expanded to offer shea butters blended with essential oils.

SHIPPING POLICY: Methods, Times, & Refunds
We ship all items within 24-48 hours of your order, Monday through Friday. Orders are shipped to most countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. Items are shipped USPS first class or priority U.S., and USPS parcel post or international priority overseas. If you are shipping to an APO address and have difficulty processing your order, please contact us. Shipping can be upgraded to Fed Ex and UPS; please contact us before completing your order to process an upgrade.
Shipping is processed through paypal with your order. We provide partial shipping refunds when a combined order's actual shipping and handling costs is less than the shipping estimate you pay when placing your order. You will receive the difference in a refund via paypal. In the U.S., if you do not receive your order within 10 business days, please contact us. Overseas, if you do not receive your order within 30 days, please contact us.
By purchasing one of our products, you agree to abide by our recommendation of testing the soap on a small patch of skin first before full body use. To test to see if you are allergic to a product, try a small amount on a small patch of skin and wait 24 hours to see if there is a reaction. Because everyone’s skin and reactions are unique to the individual, you agree to hold Muse Handcrafted Soap Boutique and affiliates free from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of use of our products including any loss, damage, injury or death.
Our products contain a wide variety of natural ingredients and, in some cases, synthetic ingredients. These are considered skin-safe ingredients. While generally considered safe for the skin, these ingredients can cause reactions. Muse Handcrafted Bath Boutique is not responsible for any individual reaction to a soap or butter ingredient. Each product description on our website includes a list of ingredients and our bases are listed on the “INGREDIENTS” page. You can request further description of any of our products by contacting us.
People with sensitivities to any listed ingredient should not use those products. If you have sensitive skin, please test a product before use. Unlike most department store soaps, these are “soft soaps.” Please avoid leaving soap bars sitting in water, as they will begin to dissolve and break down. Please replace the caps on butter jars. We do not use harsh preservatives in our soaps or butters. We are not responsible for any problems, such as bacteria or mold, due to misuse of our products.
